At Sage Space, dental care is approached as part of a broader view of health.
As we continue to evolve this approach, we are expanding our team to include allied health professionals who support the body as a whole, not just individual areas.
Meet Liam
Liam is a physiotherapist based at Sage Space, working closely with patients to support movement, recovery and overall physical function.
His role is centred around understanding how the body moves and identifying areas that may benefit from targeted support, whether that involves injury rehabilitation, managing discomfort or improving day-to-day movement.
Why Physiotherapy in a Dental Space?
The body is interconnected.
Posture, muscle tension and movement patterns can influence how different areas function, including the jaw. In some cases, concerns such as jaw discomfort, tension or headaches may be linked to factors beyond the teeth themselves.
By incorporating physiotherapy into the Sage Space environment, we are able to consider these connections more holistically.
Supporting Movement and Function
Liam works with patients across a range of areas, including:
- Postural assessment and support
- Injury rehabilitation
- Movement optimisation
- Managing muscular tension and discomfort
This can complement dental care where relevant, particularly in cases where multiple factors may be contributing to how a patient is feeling.
A Collaborative Environment
Having physiotherapy available within Sage Space allows for a more integrated approach to care.
Where appropriate, insights can be shared across disciplines, helping to build a more complete understanding of each patient’s needs. This ensures that care is not approached in isolation, but as part of a broader system.
Continuing to Expand Our Approach
The addition of physiotherapy reflects a wider shift in how Sage Space approaches health.
Rather than focusing solely on treatment, the aim is to support patients in understanding their bodies more fully and exploring care options that align with that.
