Inclusions

WHAT IS INVISALIGN?

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that uses a series of clear, removable aligners to apply controlled forces to teeth over time, with the aim of improving alignment and bite function.

Each aligner is custom-made based on digital scans and a treatment plan developed by a qualified dental professional. Invisalign may be suitable for certain alignment concerns, depending on individual clinical assessment.

DETAILS

An initial consultation will clarify your Invisalign journey. Using AI we then monitor your progress, which helps decrease in-person appointments. Length of treatment varies by individual but is usually completed within 3 to 12 months.

BENEFITS

Its non-invasive nature makes the process of straightening your teeth a walk in the park. And when it’s done at Sage, you get the pleasure of being in our space, which is designed for self-care.

  • how-is-sage-space-different-from-a-traditional-dentist

At Sage we offer regular preventative dental treatments (cleaning and examination) in spaces that transform the process into self-care, rather than obligation. Not only does this allow you to avoid expensive emergency dental work like fillings, you also get to enjoy the experience.

We have assembled a collaborative, round-table of leading dental and medical specialists to create protocols that inform the operation of every Sage space. Our members lean into the experience knowing every practitioner is informed by the highest standard of care.

Our dental health experts will always know when to communicate and connect you with our in-house dentists or refer you to the best specialist should you need a treatment beyond the Sage scope.

    What is Sage?

    • We focus on treatments that prevent dental failure.
    • We educate about the best dental health rituals that can be performed at home to keep your mouth in mint condition.
    • A place where cleaning is used as a means to maintain pristine dental health.
    • We offer unbiased dental advice. We don’t have an agenda other than maintaining complete and total health of your mouth. We’ll always be real with you about exactly what you need and never sell you something unnecessary.

    What is Sage not?

    • Whilst we care deeply about ensuring your teeth look their best, we do not have a focus on aesthetics over function.
    • A place where the dentist’s ego is more important than your care.
    • A place where unexpected costs arrive at the end of your appointment.
    • We never ignore nor judge the “why” behind your current dental health.
    • A place to fear, in any way.

  • how-often-should-i-come-to-sage-space

Because we focus on preventative dental care, we recommend treatments every 3-6 months depending on your unique profile. This frequency gives you the best chance of entirely avoiding expensive emergency dental work.

We also offer the Glow & Go ritual for those times you need to freshen up and remove any superficial stains before an important event. This can be booked any time outside your normal regime.

  • do-you-do-teeth-whitening

Yes, we offer in-chair (the Glow) and at home whitening kits (the Glow & Go).

As registered dental clinicians we only utilise active ingredients that are proven to work – unlike online or over-the-counter alternatives, which are prohibited from using these ingredients and instead add alternatives like citric acid which can have negative consequences or at best, no effect at all.

Importantly, we will always offer an honest and informed opinion on how the whitening will work for you, with all of your circumstances – before you proceed with the treatment. We also use Philips Zoom – a best practice whitening formula which is only authorized for use by dental professionals

  • does-sage-space-accept-private-health-insurance-how-much-do-they-pay-back

Yes. We accept all forms of private health insurance.

Depending on your health insurance coverage, your fund may reimburse 20%-60% of the total amount we charge them.

Take a Ritual Clean. We can charge $400 and the health fund may reimburse $80 to $240 of that cost, leaving you with quite a bit to pay out of pocket.

With Sage, you have two options:

    1. pay The Sage Packaged Rate and reduce your out-of-pocket expenses.
    2. pay The Gap (whatever it might be – it depends on your fund and insurance type) helping you spread out your available yearly dental limit.

We believe option 1 lets you get the most out of your fund, it’s the option 99%  of our patients choose and our go-to option unless you’re wanting to pay an increased gap.

Patients who choose option 1 ensure their available limit is spent, rather than reaching the end of the year only to discover there are hundreds of dollars unused. There still may be a gap to pay for services, depending on how much of your limit has already been spent, but you can be sure to use your entire dental health allowance.

Patients who choose option 2 might worry about unforeseen emergency work and feel more comfortable knowing their limit is spread across the year, even if it might result in some of it being unused.

  • does-sage-space-perform-dental-procedures-i-e-fillings-etc

At Sage, we focus primarily on preventative care. However, if you need treatment such as a filling our clinicians will identify these issues and connect you with our in-house dentists to complete treatment in-house or the right specialist in our network. We don’t believe in loose ends which means we’re always here to help.

  • why-do-i-need-to-have-an-essential-ritual-before-any-other-treatment

Because we know prevention is key to a healthy mouth, we must first obtain a full picture of your current oral health to accurately treat and manage your needs on an ongoing basis.

Everything we discover in your Essential treatments acts as the baseline we compare your future health and progress against. We take a wholistic approach to ensure we never miss a beat.

  • what-can-i-expect-at-my-first-appointment
    • A thorough examination of teeth and gums including checks for oral cancer, jaw and muscle tightness, tooth wear and gum recession, airway and breathing screening and alignment of teeth.
    • Deep teeth clean and stain removal.
    • Educational tools to develop the best rituals for your individual mouth.
    • X-rays and 3D scans to create a model of your teeth, assisting with education about the unique features of your mouth
    • Cleansing fluoride wash and varnish.
  • can-you-communicate-with-my-regular-dentist-directly-about-my-medical-records

While we do have our own in-house dentists for treatment in our space, our dental health experts will always know when to communicate with your dentist (or refer you to the best specialist) should you need a treatment beyond the Sage scope.

All information is yours to keep and so you’re able to access it anytime and provide it to other dental professionals. We will also correspond with your dentist (if you approve) to ensure that best care practices are being followed, because we believe communication is key to ensuring good quality care.

  • what-exactly-is-preventative-dental-care

Preventative dental care is the core foundation of how to maintain a healthy mouth and decrease the chance of infection or undiagnosed issues. The more consistent the preventative treatments, the more likely you may not need expensive emergency work.

Think of preventative dental work as the fork to every knife. Where emergency dental work needs to come in with the sharp tools, we exist to complement those tools. A knife cannot function all that well without a fork, but a fork can do a lot of heavy lifting on its own.

  • will-i-be-seen-by-a-qualified-dentist

Our clinicians are AHPRA registered every year and meet the ongoing annual learning requirements to complete dental procedures focusing on preventative dental care.

Our clinicians comprise of dentists, dental hygienists and oral health therapists working with our in-house advisory dentists and specialists.

  • whats-your-cancellation-policy

We know stuff happens. Sage is all about mutual respect. That’s why we try to keep a flexible cancellation policy, depending on the circumstances.

However, we do maintain the right to charge a cancellation fee if cancellation occurs within 24 hours of your ritual or you fail to show up at all.

  • do-i-need-a-referral-to-book

No. We think referrals create barriers to access and we’re all about inclusivity. At Sage, it’s come one, come all.
