How has your journey been so far?
My journey with Corbin and Sage Space began when it was just an idea, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of its growth and transformation. Watching Sage come to life and flourish has been an amazing experience. As a dental hygienist, I’ve had the privilege of helping patients improve their oral health and confidence. Balancing clinical work with further study in periodontology has kept me on my toes, but it’s been an exciting and rewarding path of growth.
What is the most beautiful thing in life?
Connection. Whether it’s with people, nature, or even yourself. The most meaningful moments in life come from the relationships we build, the conversations that make us feel seen, and the small, everyday interactions that remind us we’re not alone. It’s in sharing a laugh with a patient, having a deep conversation with a friend, or even just enjoying a quiet moment with someone you love. Connection brings warmth, purpose, and a sense of belonging.
What’s your current book recommendation?
"The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. The day I started reading it I didn’t put it down and I finished it that day. It’s a timeless story about following your dreams, listening to your heart, and trusting that the universe has a way of guiding you toward your purpose. It’s one of those books that means something different every time you read it, depending on where you are in life. It’s inspiring, thought-provoking, and a reminder that the journey is just as important as the destination.
What is your favourite local spot?
I love places with a relaxed atmosphere and engaging staff. Love Tilly Devine, The Long Goodbye and The Rusty Rabbit are some local favourites.
How do you switch off at the end of the day?
Unwinding after a long day is really important for me, especially with the demands of work and study life. A walk outdoors is my favourite way to clear my mind, it helps me process the day and transition into a more relaxed state. If I’m at home, I like to put my phone away for a bit, have a cuddle with my pet rabbit Twix while having a binge, or either switching off from my phone and reading. On tougher days, I focus on deep breathing or gratitude journaling to let go of any lingering stress. Connecting with friends also helps, it reminds me to be present and enjoy the little things outside of work.
Oral hygiene tips
Relax Your Cheeks for Better Brushing & Flossing
The wider you open, the more your cheeks stretch and will fight against you. Try keeping your mouth half-closed when cleaning your back teeth. This helps relax your cheeks, making it easier to reach those tricky spots.
Don’t Rinse After Brushing
Skipping the rinse after brushing allows the fluoride in toothpaste to stay on your teeth longer, strengthening the tooth surface and lowering your risk of decay.
Go Deep with Floss & Interdental Brushes
The deeper you can get floss or Piksters under the gumline, the better! Removing bacteria from these areas helps protect your gums and bone from damage.
Floss Teeth You Want to Keep!
It’s simple, if you want to keep a tooth, clean between it! If we’re not cleaning between the teeth where our toothbrushes can’t reach, we’re not cleaning about 40% of the tooth surface. Flossing removes bacteria and food buildup that brushing alone can’t reach.
